Join us for a thought-provoking discussion with Associate Professor Munjed Al Muderis in conversation with Jodi Lee.

We will explore what “freedom” means for a former refugee who fled Saddam Hussein’s regime and was held in mandatory detention north of Western Australia. Al Muderis is now an internationally acclaimed orthopaedic surgeon who returns to Iraq to change the lives of injured soldiers and civilians with his pioneering surgical technique. He has detailed his experiences in his best-selling memoir Walking Free.
