Dear Shalom Community,

Shalom would like to give you an update on how we’re responding to the outbreak of the Coronavirus.

We want to assure you that we’re taking all necessary precautions in accordance with the NSW Department of Health guidelines in evaluating the impact on our suite of programming over coming months.

Above all else, we value your safety, as well as that of our students and staff. We are currently working on converting our vibrant programs to digital alternatives including Limmud and the Sydney Jewish Writers Festival. Excitingly, our new outdoor garden Adamama, due to it being outdoors, will continue a number with smaller workshops. Of course we ask participants to practice social distancing recommendations.

With the need for inclusive interactions being more important than ever, we are continuing our podcastsblogs and social media content. We love our Shalom Community and are so proud of all the great work delivered by our volunteers, ambassadors and participants.

If you can take the time to make someone’s day better, we encourage you to offer that support. The most vulnerable amongst us need our help right now, and we need to work to ensure the safety of our entire community, Jewish and non-Jewish alike.

We look forward to seeing you online and, hopefully soon, back in person.  We will provide further updates to you when we can.

The Shalom Team
